Family-friendly entertainment, including face painting, is scheduled to begin from 4:00pm and will continue into the night beyond the final siren.

There will also be an encore screening of the match for those hoping to relive their side’s victory.

The City of Perth will also be showing the game on screens in Yagan Square, as well as Forrest Place, which will be hosting the Twilight Hawkers Market from 4:30pm and 9:30pm.

Plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants are also hosting their own events, so take a look around and see what might be close to you.

You can also, of course, watch the game from home on the Seven Network, although it might be a bit tricky if you don’t have an antenna to receive free-to-air TV.

And naturally, the game is being broadcast on ABC Radio or you can listen via the ABC Listen App.

What are the supporter groups doing pre-game?

Melbourne’s local fan group, the Western Demons, has told supporters to gather at Empire Bar in Lathlain from 11:00am, with guest speakers, auctions and raffles on the cards.

Local Western Bulldogs supporters are planning to meet at Blasta Brewery in Burswood from 1:00pm.

A group of their supporters will walk across the Matagarup Bridge at about 1.30pm, before the group from the brewery join them at about 3:00pm.

What will the winners do on Sunday?

Festivities will begin from 9:00am in Forrest Place.

If Melbourne wins, official proceedings will start at 10:45am, otherwise the Bulldogs will front the crowd at 11:20am.

Expect merchandise stores, pop up activities and a replay of the grand final before the winning team takes to the stage.

How can I escape the grand final?

In good news for some, Saturday is the opening day of this year’s Royal Show, with crowds expected to be down because of the big game.

Anyone over 12 at the show will also be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine without a booking.

The WA Museum Boola Bardip is usually a good bet to escape the outside world for a bit, but be warned, it will be offering Great Sporting Moments tours from Friday to Sunday.

Tickets cost between $8 and $10, and the museum is encouraging people to book in advance.
